Located at our office in Naperville, Il, our office environment is a key driver of our company culture and employee experience, so a regular in-office hybrid model (generally T-TH in office and M & F remote) is required.

Position Summary

In this role, you’ll contribute to the success of Oncourse Home by facilitating the security information program across IT (Information Technology) and the broader organization. You will be the security analyst to implement programs and security program change, create and train IT personnel on security procedures, understand the use of security monitoring programs and monitor the effectiveness of process, people and technology. You will apply your passion for security and technology to design and operate technical processes to implement and administer security programs, collaborate with stakeholders on reporting needs and prioritize resolution of issues with remediation teams.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Reduce cyber risk to the organization through the design and operation of monitoring systems for security management.
Improve efficiency and accuracy of security processes through process improvements in the operations environment.
Ensure that selected security controls are implemented and operating as intended during all phases of the information system lifecycle
Work with MSPs to assure process steps produce the correct monitoring outcomes.
Ensure that risks to all information assets are being managed in a timely and effective manner to meet the Information Security Program requirements and the current threat landscape
Ensure information security capabilities are included in all aspects of the company's technology architecture
Assists with monitoring, reporting and tracking of Information Security programs within the lines of business.
Work with remediation teams to create and track plans to address high severity incidents.
Production of metrics and custom reporting to track the effectiveness of monitoring management efforts.
Identify and evaluate metrics to determine areas of concern and improvement.
Assist with efforts to quantify and analyze areas of risk in the environment.
Present MSP incident for security incidents and reporting to IT management.
Keep procedural documents current from an understanding and collaboration with support engineers.
Creating and training of procedure documents.
Identify and create process improvements to the monitoring management program.
Contribute to Security Awareness efforts on an as needed basis.
Perform 3rd party vendor Security and Software Risk Assessments.

Experience and Qualifications of the Role

7+ years of Information Security Analysis experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training or certification, education.
3 years of Windows and Windows Server system administration experience.
5 years of security monitoring experience in Microsoft Defender, Crowd Strike, Cisco Umbrella
1-3 years of technical project management experience working with infrastructure, applications, architecture and support teams.
Certification like CISM, CISSP, GSEC or equivalent preferred.
Must have strong experience with NIST frameworks with working knowledge of other standards like ISO, PCI, CCPA, GDPR etc.
Must demonstrate experience with 3rd party risk cyber security risk assessment and Internal IT risk review.
4-year college degree in information technology, cyber security or equivalent experience.
Experience in a Windows Server environment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Be a clear and confident public speaker, able to speak to IT committees, Security and architecture messaging around technical concepts to diverse IT groups.
Demonstrated experience evaluating security statistics to identify patterns and produce metrics that can be used for strategic decision making.
Familiar with standard security best practices.
Ability to quickly learn new processes and tools to find and manage software vulnerabilities.
Strong understanding of data communication concepts and network/software configuration management
Experience developing Cyber Security Incident Response scenarios focusing on Incident Response and Recovery
Experience with securing and assessing risk in Amazon AWS and Azure environments.
