The Opportunity:
We are looking for a CyberSecurity Specialist who will become our security champion! You will drive Nest Wealth in preserving, enforcing, auditing, and improving our security controls while working collaboratively with Engineering, Operations, DevOps, IT, and QA teams.

We are looking for someone who thrives in taking ownership to be the driving force behind setting up various processes and programs to meet SOC 2 compliance
This role provides the opportunity to build out the foundation of security at Nest Wealth and lead security awareness within the greater team
Your enthusiasm and passion for cyber security is shared through lunch and learns, company-wide presentations, documentation, and customer education

How you will make an impact:

Compliance: You will review various logs from SIEM and security/vulnerability reports and translate them into something meaningful to report to the team.
Documentation: You will be the leader increating and maintaining various security policies and processes.
Training: Create and maintain security awareness training programs and mentor employees.
Build & Innovate: Contribute to building and implementing our foundational security processes as we continue to scale.

Why this role could be a good fit for you?

You have prior SOC 2 experience, or similar
You have 5+ years in Information Security and compliance space
You have experience creating security playbooks
You have experience working with SIEM and Vulnerability Management
You have a good understanding of secure SDLC techniques and tools
You are highly critical, analytical, and have great attention to detail
You have exceptional verbal/written communication skills with clients, peers, and management regarding security matters

It would be GREAT if you had:

Experience with provisioning and access management
Understanding of IT standards and audit requirements

3. 60 min “Meet the Team” interview with our VP of Strategy & Operations, and Director of DevOps

The Downside?

We’re pretty self-aware as a company, and we know there are some areas where we can do better:

Process: The Company is growing fast in all aspects, which is great. We are one of the Top 25 fastest-growing private companies in Canada over the last 4 years. The hard part is that we don’t have the processes of a big company in place yet. We are counting on our people to help create that process, stand-up better efficiencies, and adjust quickly as we grow.

Challenges ahead: We have pivoted to where we see the best and biggest opportunity as an enterprise & B2B solution. This requires rigour, discipline, and planning from the entire team as we address the functionality and features of our platform and like any pivots, there have been a few bumps in the road.

Transition: This is the key to our success and our ability to scale but there will be short-term challenges in making this transition. We are revisiting everything from marketing collateral, pricing, and the go-to-market plan - and calibrating it all to sync up with the strategy. That is a lot to do in a short period of time!
