National Park College is currently seeking a Security Analyst to join the Information Technology Team. This position requires a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to be well organized, have effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills, have great communication skills, and possess the ability to maintain collaborative relationships inside and outside of the college. The employee must be proficient in various areas such as but not limited to the Microsoft Office Suite, Windows 8.1 and up operating systems, Microsoft Server 2012 and up, IT network fundamentals, and Advanced IT Security Fundamentals. This position requires strong written, oral, and organizational skills due to working with students, employees, and vendors. The employee will be focusing on keeping the security, our security standards, and policies up to date.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain a Written Information Security Policy (WISP) for the campus
Ability to build rapport with departments across campus in order to meet each other’s needs for security practices
Develop and maintain an ongoing Risk Management Process
Keep systems’ security up to date (includes client/server operating systems, firmware, etc.) on a routine basis and for emergency needs
PCI Compliance
Maintaining an Encryption platform for mobile products
Research and implement new security practices
Follow and apply necessary state and federal guidelines for security
Keep a professional relationship and efficiently communicating with clients
Relationship building with vendors and contact maintenance
Some work at remote campus sites if necessary

Education And Experience

Bachelor’s degree in IT
Three or more years’ experience in IT

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 30 lbs.
Willing to work flexible hours if/when necessary (nights/weekends)
Travel
