Our client is a prominent Global leader in the hospitality industry, dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences with over 1,000 subsidiaries and affiliated brands. With a commitment to innovation and personalized service, we are seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer.

As part of the Global Digital and Technology organization, you will collaborate with both IT and the business to develop systems designed for guests. This role involves close collaboration with back-end services teams, front-end designers, and product management to develop scalable web applications.

This is a remote role but candidates local to Chicago, IL preferred. No third-party sponsors at this time.

Position Responsibilities / Essential Functions:

Accountable for the technical solutions developed by the team.
Possesses expertise in all technologies used by the team and utilizes business knowledge to guide technical decisions.
Capable of working with minimal supervision, directing and enhancing a small team.
Collaborates with product and design leads to translate ideas into technical solutions.
Communicates effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
Designs and develops robust, highly scalable client-side and server-side components adhering to architecture standards.
Utilizes unit tests effectively to ensure high code quality.

Qualifications:

BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical education and work experience.
Desired skills include: 3+ years of JavaScript, Node.js, HTML, CSS, React with Hooks, Typescript
Ability to work with Git
Orchestrating pipelines using Gitlab (CI/CD)
Ability to work with API’s
Familiarity with Unit testing
Ability to collaborate with UI/UX designer and provide design feedback/suggestions.
Good communication Skills and ability to work with product team to understand requirements and provide feedback.
