We are seeking a part time IT Technician to play an integral role in our IT department. This proactive individual will work closely with the Systems Administrator and provide information technology (IT) support, maintenance of the network and servers and considers proactive solutions for IT efficiencies and security.

The successful candidate must be motivated, enthusiastic, and a self-starter who can work both independently and in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities of this Role:

Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, operating system software and software applications. (Windows Server 2012, 2016 & 2019 Windows 10/11) and Microsoft Office 365), systems and networks and to co-ordinate access and use of computer networks
Provide problem-solving services to network users
Perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records
Provide advice and training to end-users in response to identified difficulties
Communicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security
Support cybersecurity and vulnerability assessment program as required
Familiar with Gateway Firewalls and Email security cloud appliance
Familiar working with Site to Site VPN and client VPNs

Qualifications and Skills Required

In process or recently completed a college or university program in Computer Science, Network Administration, Web Technology or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Developed numeracy skills, detail orientated and sel review
Strong technical knowledge and demonstrated proficiency
Strong interpersonal skills
Flexibility and initiative to undertake various duties and roles
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
