This is a 6 months contract to hire position

Responsibilities include:

· Applies expert knowledge of principles and concepts in the development, design, and/or maintenance of multiple components or activities for more than one product with the specific expertise in the development of highly secure software systems

· Understands impact on adjacent systems and long-term impact of technical decisions and recognizes importance of compliance with architectural direction and Cyber Security

· Ensures high quality and secure code is delivered that meets specifications

· Generates ideas to improve overall system design and/or streamline delivery of product/system

· Champions needs of customer community and UX enhancement, emphasizing secure software

· Acts as a key technical point of contact for a subset of larger project as a technical expert

· Interfaces with the Cyber Security team on a regular basis to assess possible vulnerabilities and collaborate on mitigation strategies on behalf of software development teams

· Assist development teams in vulnerability scanning and remediation for identified security concerns

· Proactively contributes to compliance with standard and best practices within application delivery

· Ability mentor and lead other software developers in the creation of secure software

· Utilization of corporate project management tools as required eg: PPM, Jira etc

· Understands and guides others in how to in balance tactical needs with strategic application of platform, application and/or global architectural standards

· Actively contributes to collaborative relationships with key partners to accomplish technology delivery

· Maintains awareness of emerging technologies, industry trends and security threats and drives adoption of software development engineering best practices eg: Agile working practices

· Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate software security testing and signoff with automated CI/CD pipelines

· Actively contributes to documentation of security controls for regulatory guidelines or standards

Who we are looking for in this role:

· Demonstrated experience utilizing application scanning tools such as Fortify, Nexus IQ, BlackDuck, etc.

· Demonstrated experience in detecting, understanding and mitigating security vulnerabilities in software

· Demonstrated experience in architecting highly secure software (structure, patterns, etc.)

· Background and experience working across multiple components or one entire application (or internal business system)

· Experience developing, deploying, or supporting commercial, customer facing distributed or mainframe solutions

· Experience developing/documenting cyber security application best practices

· Possess deep domain expertise and experience working across a group of related products/applications

· Experience in Quality Assurance, software development, project management, operations, and other technical areas

· Experience leading projects and especially providing technical leadership for developers

· Experience in travel industry preferred

· 4-year degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or combination of experience and education

· Is working towards or has achieved certification in secure code development (CCSP, CSSLP, CISSP or equivalent)

· Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate technical information clearly

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint) Visio as applicable

· Experience of Jira for Requirements/ Story management and work management tools (e.g.: KANBAN if applicable to area)
