EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:

Monitor computer networks for security issues
Investigate security breaches and other cyber security incidents
Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs
Maintains excellent communication with the IT Manager on all tasks and projects
Creates and maintains good technical documentation
May provide emergency on-call support on a rotating schedule
Any other tasks assigned by management

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Degree in MIS, or business administration supplemented with one or more courses or certifications in current technology preferred; three years and current experience as an administrator on a small to medium sized network of servers, desktop systems, and communications devices using current technology; knowledge of windows servers and desktop products; knowledge of setting up remote access for users; ability to administer a 500 to 1000 node network and be able to support network printers and multi function printers; working knowledge of current communication devices and protocols, server and desktop technologies; ability to manage multiple projects, activities, and tasks simultaneously; facilitation and change management skills; highly developed verbal and written communications; ability to learn and comprehend new technologies with minimal management; ability to repetitively use arms, hands and fingers; ability to communicate effectively with team members; positive attitude when working with customers; knowledge of employment, merchandise and safety procedures; must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations or 1 chargeable accident within the last three years.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.

Heavy Work: Lifting up to 20 lbs occasionally.
