Position Summary

We are currently hiring a Network Administrator to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of our server infrastructure, network infrastructure, and for our remote workforce.

The ideal candidate will have the skills and expertise to deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor all virtual and physical networking infrastructure, ensuring seamless network operations for both server and end user systems.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving network issues, implementing security measures, proactively optimizing network performance, assisting with server configurations and working in collaboration with various stakeholders across the organization.

The Network Administrator will play a crucial role in maintaining a robust, secure and dependable network infrastructure for our organization. Duties and Responsibilities

Manage corporate network infrastructure, including Firewall Management, VPN Gateways, IPSec Tunnels, and Web Application Firewalls.
Assist in the management and monitoring of infrastructure including Windows, Linux, VMWare, containers and other cloud infrastructure.
Ensure regularly scheduled technical tasks are accomplished on time (Firewall auditing, Firewall OS patching, Firewall Rule Creation and Modification).
Oversee network performance, including server and end user VPN for a globally distributed workforce.
Collaborate with IT Team setting up new machines as needed.
Provide technical support for cloud-related issues and coordinate with service providers.
Assist in managing SaaS & PaaS platforms (Office 365, Azure, SharePoint).
Collaborate with other team members (R&D, InfoSec and DevOps) to ensure smooth integration between on-premise, CoLo and cloud environments.
Help ensure that IT requests are closed or escalated promptly. Handle escalations.
Assist in maintaining backup infrastructure.
Work with third party managed service providers (MSSP).
Monitor industry trends, technologies, and standards.
Research, recommend, and apply new technologies as they emerge.
Clearly document features, technical specifications, and infrastructure requirements for self-produced technical work and job processes.
Provide management and administrative support of digital communication systems; including training and orientation for teams and administrations. This may include service to partner organizations.
Hire and train team members and must ensure that all specialists are working according to set standards.

Required Skills

Working knowledge Microsoft Azure or AWS and Cloud infrastructure
Bachelor's degree in Software IT desired; Engineering; or equivalent
At least 5 years of prior experience in a technical system admin or networking admin position are generally required
Strong understanding of network and server deployment and maintenance
Knowledge Microsoft Windows Desktop, Server, and Network Operating Systems
A working knowledge of programming forms and implementing scripts using languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python.
Ability to communicate clearly with individual computing users on all levels – in small groups, one on one and in writing in the English language (French is a plus)
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Initiative-taking, enthusiastic, and hard working with the ability to perform at a fast pace with minimal supervision
Ability to focus on detailed work for extended periods of time
