Inline Computers, is a small but long established Managed (IT) Services Provider (MSP) in Vancouver, at Hastings and Hornby. Operating since 1985, we are the IT department for many great companies’ typical size between 10 to 150 users. Our client market is varied, with a concentration in Accounting, Financial and Mining to name a few.

About our wonderful IT Team:

Unlike many other MSP’s we decided to forgo the typical ‘tiered’ support system. All of our managed clients are directly support by senior IT people. As a valued team member, you would perform network administrative tasks, address your end-client tickets and also handle any projects for them, such as network deployment, hardware refresh and Office 365/Azure migrations.

Clients really love our model because there is no escalation required. They are assigned a technician with the skills required to resolve even the most difficult of issues. This does not mean we all work independently, everyone at Inline shares solutions with the rest of the team which greatly raises our overall support capabilities and improves everyone technical skills. This we believe sets us apart from most other IT companies.

Who are we looking for?

The right individual has well rounded IT skills, they are able to communicate well with our clients, great at resolving problems and are technically strong with Microsoft server products, Hyper-V or VMware virtualization, Office 365 and network hardware skills.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Support your assigned clients and assist with other client’s tickets as needed.
You will perform weekly checks on servers, backups, error logs and other admin panels.
You work from our office mostly, and at client sites when needed.
Anything requiring a car is given a days notice and costs are covered.
Perform typical network management for clients.
Handle any end user tickets as they come in for your clients.
You enter into an on-call weekly rotation with the other techs. On call time starts at 6am and ends at 11PM (not 24 hours)
Tracking your work in our ticketing system every day.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Willing to work from our office and go onsite to local clients. This is not a remote work at home position but that is permissible occasionally.
Though certificates valid to our field are beneficial, having real-world experience in all aspects of IT deployment, management and support is given more weight.
We focus on Microsoft services. (Servers, AD, File and Print, Office 365, RDS, SQL Management, Exchange)
Install from scratch servers (physical and virtual), firewalls, switches, network printers via group policy.
You should be comfortable with modding powershell scripting when needed.
Years of experience is relative but 3 years minimum as a senior level tech (tier 2 or 3) is a starting point.
5 years experience with multi-server networks running under virtualized or cloud environments.
A valid drivers license for BC.
