About Our Search

We are looking for talented and experienced Design Architects to join our national award-winning Age/Income Targeted Communities studio. We seek individuals who will collaborate with the whole team, working to develop design concepts and providing oversight throughout the documentation and construction phases to ensure that the design intent is preserved and executed throughout the project and to completion. We are nationally recognized for creating environments that enrich the lives of residents, allowing them to age with vibrancy and dignity. We aim to enhance the communities in which our projects are located, and our passion is to raise the bar for exceptional design and build enduring relationships with our clients.

About The Position

Develop design concepts, narratives, 3D renderings, virtual reality presentations, etc. as needed to effectively convey design intent to clients
Lead design-focused visioning sessions and presentations to clients, community groups, jurisdictional groups, architectural review boards, etc.
Coordinate with interior designers, landscape architects, lighting designers and other consultant team members to facilitate successful integration of their design efforts with ours
Collaborate, motivate, and communicate clearly and effectively with other team members
Foster team building and mentor less-experienced colleagues
Develop schematic design drawings for our age and/or income restricted residential, wellness, amenity and community projects
Create technical detail sketches and recommend material selections for inclusion in construction drawings and specifications

About You

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture required
Actively pursuing or has achieved professional accreditation and licensure
7-15 years of experience in the architectural field
Effective communication skills
Extensive design portfolio, with multi-family residential project experience; senior living experience a plus
Creative and innovative thinker
Strong design leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise others
Sets an example for team members through the spirit of cooperation
Excellent knowledge of design software such as Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Lumion or Enscape
