Technical Lead - Cryptocurrency and Integrations Focused – Vancouver, BC

Canada's largest network of bitcoin kiosks is seeking to hire a full-time Technical Lead.

HoneyBadger was founded in 2016 when we launched our first kiosk in Vancouver, BC. Today with over 200 locations nationally, we have become Canada’s fastest growing and most reliable network of cryptocurrency kiosks. Like the famous honey badger, we think Bitcoin is pretty badass.

We are seeking a technical lead to oversee the development of software projects with our CEO and various stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on self-starter who has the drive and perseverance to get things done on their own, work with a small team of 6 people and has the ambition and potential to grow with the company into a future VP or CTO role. You are also passionate about cryptocurrency, system integration, data analysis, security, automation and process improvement.

Responsibilities

Oversee in-house and outsourced software systems;
Mange existing cloud server stack;
Oversee new server implementation.
Practical cybersecurity oversight and analysis;
Proactively update blockchain networks / wallets;
Connect external and occasionally write internal APIs;
Seek out & build automation in current systems & processes;
Effectively collaborate with cross-functional team and sales personnel to support UI/UX design;
Set and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs);
Assist in design and implementation of front-end interfaces ie. website, admin panels, client facing transaction systems, CRM system layout;
Data integration and analysis;
Experience in .php, C/C++, Solidity, Java, HTML/CSS, Redis, JSON, RPCs, Linux
Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope and schedule
Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines across multiple departments.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Economics or equivalent;
Have 3+ years of work experience in technology or start-up business, building front-end user experiences and back-end systems;
Demonstrated drive to achieve aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, small company environment;
.php, Redis, JSON, RPC, Linux, Java, HTML/CSS development expertise
Focus on integrating external systems and a relentless desire for continuous improvement;
Project Management experience;
Proven team leader and possess collaborative decision making skills;
Disciplined approach to creating standards and documentation for stakeholders;
Self-motivated and focused with a passion for cryptocurrency;
Experience working with CRM and customer support platforms;
Eligibility to work in Canada and on-site in Vancouver, BC.

Bonus

Experience in a start-up and/or technology company;
