As a Goodcall Senior Software Engineer, you will be involved in feature planning, developing new platform features from start to finish, and improving the experience of existing systems. The code you write will impact local shops and service businesses. You will have autonomy in how you decide to solve challenging conversational AI and engineering challenges.

You are a self starter who has built full stack products in the past. You will work with the team to define software requirements and take the lead on operational and technical projects. In this role, you should be able to work independently with little supervision. You should have excellent organization and problem-solving skills. If you also have hands-on experience in software development and agile methodologies, we’d like to meet you. Your goal will be to develop high-quality software that is aligned with user needs and business goals.

Responsibilities

Develop high-quality software design and architecture
Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle
Review and debug code
Leadership: Manage and mentor
Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code

Requirements

Knowledge of selected programming languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, React
Experience with cloud operations: infrastructure as code (Terraform), design scalable architectures, (GCP a plus)
In-depth knowledge of relational databases: SQL, noSQL, Spanner, Firebase
Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
Ability to work independently
BS in Computer Science or a related degree
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
