The DIRECTV IT team builds experiences that efficiently offer our products to prospects, delight our customers, and create a connected omnichannel experience. Within this, the Existing Customer Lifecycle value stream builds experiences that enable customers to get the most from their DIRECTV service and empowers our front-line team members who help them with intelligent technology. Our scope includes customer-facing self-service capabilities on DIRECTV.com, our IVR (interactive voice response), and applications for our field technicians and customer care phone agents.

The Sr. Director of Software Engineering specifically supports our contact center applications for commercial customers and other legacy contact center applications. Working with a team of employees and vendor support, this role is responsible for contributing to technology evolution roadmaps, driving efficient execution and quality in our delivery, managing stakeholder expectations, and overcoming obstacles.

Here's what you'll do:

Experienced software delivery leader in a complex enterprise environment, familiar with up-time critical applications, change management processes, and Agile delivery methodologies (especially SAFe).
Experience with large-scale contact center operations and telephony environments. Salesforce delivery experience is a strong plus.
Experienced with budget management and able to negotiate funding tradeoffs and portfolio decisions.
A strong communicator, able to effectively synthesize key points of a topic and turn them into a persuasive conversation, presentation, or email.
An experienced leader of teams in mixed vendor/employee environments
Independent and energetic in the pursuit of solutions to a challenge; persistent but diplomatic in working across teams.

Here's what you'll need:

7 - 10 years of experience as a successful tech project management leader in a fast-moving business, or relevant experience.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field (computer science, engineering, information technology, or the sciences) is preferred, and recommended.
Demonstrated track record of success and progression in varied challenges.
Excellent organization and planning skills with ability to multi-task.
Self-directed, results-oriented individual who can independently handle and thrive with multiple priorities.
Analytical – makes data-driven decisions while establishing effective metrics that drive results and optimize on technology stack.
Intellectually Agile – able to think deeply and qualitatively about strategy and vision.
Entrepreneurial – brings a high level of self-directed energy and an unrelenting drive to succeed.
Leader – able to lead by displaying an unparalleled work ethic; able to coach and mentor those around them.
Strong Communicator – articulate with an ability to communicate in a direct and clear manner; history of communication with C-level executives using oral, written, and presentation formats is preferred.

This is a remote position that can be located anywhere in the United States.

The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for each of DIRECTV's 4 (four) US Labor Market Zones. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Mid (N2): $179,300 - $268,900

High (N3): 197,230 - $295,790

Top (N4): $206,195 - $309,235
