Our client needs to upgrade and replace much of their existing legacy software and infrastructure to be more modern and cloud-based.

The Position

Position: Intermediate/Senior IT Project Manager

Department: IT Deliver Team

Reports to: IT Delivery Manager

Type: Contractual – 12 months, renewable

Hourly Rate: $85/hour - $100/hour depending on experience

Location: Montreal, Quebec

Job Requirements:

- Work with business units, IT resources and solution integrators (vendors) to implement the projects

- Manage multiple IT projects at a time that include software implementation, infrastructure and cybersecurity components

- Manage the end to end RFP process to ensure the right vendors are selected for each project, with the right scope of work

- Manage all aspects of each project including planning, scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, resources, communication, governance and deployment

- Leverage interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaboration among all teams and to remove silos

- Report on project status to sponsors and management, escalate key issues as needed and leverage executive steering committee to help remove obstacles

- Support Change Management team and ensure change management is a key component to project success

- Oversee requirements definition to form the basis of the solution designs

- Ensure the right KPIs are part of the requirements and solution, so they can be used for benefits management and to validate business case accuracy where needed

- Coach and guide members of internal team to deliver tasks with excellence

- Actively monitor risks and scope creep to proactively course-correct as needed, based on solutions identified with core team

- Project Manager will work remotely and will need to be onsite in the downtown Montreal office 1 - 2 days a week

Resource Profile:

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent knowledge / experience

- Project Manager with 5 - 10 years experience and solid track record of delivering IT Projects focused on software implementation, including upgrades and replacements

- Highly organized and meticulous PM comfortable getting into the weeds and managing multiple concurrent projects

- Demonstrated experience managing end to end RFP process

- Experience delivering projects in both waterfall and agile methodologies

- Professional certifications such as PMP and/or CSM strongly preferred

- Proficient in productivity tools including MS Project, MS Office, MS Visio, etc.

- Resourceful self-starter able to work with minimal supervision, deal with ambiguity, and contribute to project delivery best practices

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels including project teams and senior management

- Demonstrated experience successfully delivering complex projects and dealing with all challenges including technical, personnel and financial

- Possesses analytical and critical thinking skills needed to foresee potential issues and risks, implement preventative measures, and drive course-correction collaboratively with project teams

- Must be bilingual

Job Type: Fixed term contract
