The VMF Remarketing Tech team at Clayton Homes is looking for a Software Engineering Lead to support the Remarketing platform, business users, and to serve as a point of technical expertise. As the Software Engineering Lead, your time will be spent creating and managing an efficiently operating team capable of building applications following a domain driven design oriented micro-services architecture operating in the cloud. This position will be critical in helping build solutions that streamline business process while aligning to architectural goals and technical roadmaps.

They will challenge the team to reach their potential, be willing to step in and help solve problems, and be a liaison between the technical efforts and the portfolio team representing the customer.

Responsibilities:

Manages and provides technical guidance to team members, challenging them to meet their potential and create solutions that align with our architectural guidelines and project goals
Strives to ensure on time delivery of sprint goals
Accountable for quality of code and designs
Addresses issues as they arise to ensure blocks are removed and the team can operate as efficiently as possible
Serves as a technical representative for the Remarketing business user
Participates in issue investigation, drives the team to pursue root cause, and contributes to design revisions as necessary
Document development requirements for database, applications, and operation system environments
Provide consultation on complex projects as a top-level contributor/specialist

Qualifications:

Experience leading, through influence or direct management, development teams creating custom applications and multi system integrations
Proven track record of creating quality solutions with on time delivery
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse group of team members, including managers, technology professionals, and subject matter experts
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Humble, hungry, and smart self-starter that can work effectively within time constraints and changing priorities
Experience using Agile methodologies
Understands the importance of product testing, from unit tests to test automation
High focus on automation to ensure high quality while minimizing long term costs
Seek to find inefficiencies in the team’s process and take ownership of remediation plans
