Comcast’s television metadata platform is looking for a stellar DevOps-minded Engineer. You’re a great fit if you have passion to independently dig deep into problem solving with cutting-edge technology, love to own the projects you work on, and are a team-player with excellent communication skills.As an DevOps Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn and work on our state-of-the-art cloud infrastructure.

Who will the intern work with?

The TPX DevOps Intern will be part of CDS cloud infrastructure team who will work closely with development ,network and security team to deliver reliable, performant, and scalable software products.We are a diverse team of engineers and visionary personnel who solve complex problems while supporting our colleagues.

What are some interesting problems the intern will work on?

DevOps Intern will assist in all aspects of the deployment and automation process, including research, implementation, testing and documentation. They will primarily work on:

Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’

You’ll be working with the best and brightest minds in Comcast while building systems & metrics that are reusable.

Job Responsibilities

Intern responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Working with an agile team to setup and configure cloud-based environments.
Design,develop and secure cloud system architectures in accordance with established standards.
Actively participate in meetings with the development/network/security teams.
Support deployment of releases.
Analysing and resolving technical and application problems.

Preferred Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Software development knowledge
Knowledge on AWS
Basics of at least one of these languages: Java, Python, Go, Ruby.
Good understanding of Linux
Knowledge on Git
Interest in cloud computing

Minimum Qualifications And Eligibility Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university
Rising Junior or Rising Senior with an anticipated graduation date of December 2023, Spring 2024, December 2024 or Spring 2025.
Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship
Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program
Recommended GPA: 3.0 (candidates will be evaluated on overall skills, education, and experience)
