General Purpose of Job

To develop and maintain the System of Care and provide oversight of all aspects of support service areas. Ensure ongoing adherence to regulatory mandates and contracts obligations/ deliverables.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The Director of Support Services shall:

Report directly to the Vice President of Administrative Services to assist in the development, communication, implementation and continuance of the System of Care, effective operating policies and procedures, and strategic plans.
Provide direct supervision to the Supervisors of: Data Management, Background Screening, Records Management, and Revenue Maximization.
Be accountable for performance of compliance measures.
Responsible for maintaining a collaborative partnership and respectful working relationship between the Children’s Network of Hillsborough, LLC, the Regional Office of the Department of Children and Families (DCF), the Case Management Organizations (CMO’s), and other essential partners such as Judges and GAL’s.
Identify, develop, and implement, along with VP of Administrative Services and senior management, programs and services needed to accomplish Children’s Network’s mission.
Ensure the availability and timeliness of necessary reports to enable the VP of Administrative Services to be informed as to the agency’s progress on all critical projects.
Participate in industry and other professional networks to ensure awareness of industry standards, trends and best practices in order to strengthen organizational and technical knowledge.
Work closely with VP of Administrative Services and the Director of Human Resources to deal with issues of employee accountability, misconduct, corrective plans, coaching and development.
Ensure all staff is aware of and accountable for compliance with regulations, policies and contractual requirements.
If required will attend and participate in Board of Director meetings.
Perform other projects and duties at the request of the VP of Administrative Services.
Other duties may be assigned as special projects

Working Hours

CNHC’s work week is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week (Business office hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.) This position is an in-office based position.

Travel

Travel in and outside of Circuit 13 (Hillsborough County) is required.

Training

All employees must complete fifteen (15) hours of on-line or classroom Training on an annual basis. If the employee is a Certified Child Welfare Professional, Training hours must total twenty (20) annually.

Supervisor Responsibilities

Responsible for the direct supervision of three supervisors and oversight of the identified teams associated with these supervisors.

Education And Experience

Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s degree in Social Services field preferred
A minimum of ten years of progressive responsibility across organization that deal with a wide variety of constituents and business lines. Preference will be given to individuals with Executive-level experience and with prior experience/exposure in dealing with governmental agencies, and/or child welfare.

Skills And Abilities

Superior interpersonal skills required along with a strong drive to execute and get things done. Strategic thinking, analytical reasoning, financial and conceptual skills essential. Must be able to think in terms of “resourcefulness” versus “more resources.” Outstanding written and verbal communication essential. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite software, Outlook and project management applications. Knowledge of state and local child welfare and juvenile justice systems important. Must have documented and well-demonstrated product/project management experience. Must be extremely well organized with the ability to consume, retain and leverage massive amounts of information and data generated from across the entire span of the Organization’s operations. Established leadership in coaching/developing leaders to create a work environment recognized for achieving excellence in a timely and cost-effective fashion. Demonstrates a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and staff development.

Other Skills and Abilities

Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top managers, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

This job requires the ability to sit for extended periods; walk; stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel or crouch; talk and hear. This job requires visual acuity sufficient to read and to operate standard modern office machines. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

This is administrative work in an indoor office environment with a moderate noise level (business machines, printers, computers, telephones).
