Position Summary

The Information Security Analyst is responsible for analyzing, implementing and maintaining security controls which enforce the information security policies and security best practice at Children's Minnesota. The analyst will focus on managing and utilizing our security monitoring tools and responding to security issues and incidents. The analyst is also expected to have knowledge of vulnerability management and computer security investigations. As a security analyst, you will execute other day-to-day security tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate should have a broad knowledge of technical security, be able to multitask and give appropriate attention to a variety of functions.

License/Certification/Registration

CISSP, CompTIA Security+, GIAC certifications or similar preferred but not required.

Education

Associate's degree is required in a computer field or equivalent Information Security work experience.
Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Experience

2 to 4 years of IT experience with responsibilities for Information Security.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Experience and knowledge running and managing DLP and CASB tools, preferably in an M365 environment.
Experience and knowledge running and managing SIEM (LogRhythm or similar), preferably in an M365 environment.
Experience and knowledge in vulnerability management processes utilizing tools such as Rapid7 and Tanable.
Possess broad technical knowledge and experience in troubleshooting security issues encompassing computer systems and applications.
Knowledge and experience performing computer investigations and providing findings. Computer forensics experience is preferred.
Ability to identify issues or security gaps in systems and processes and recommend mitigation strategies to management.
Ability to collaborate with other technical resources to ensure timely implementation of security solutions / risk mitigations.
Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently with minimal supervision (i.e., self-motivated and willing to stretch to meet important deadlines).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
