Job Description: In-house IT Professional at Casey Concrete

Position Overview:

Casey Concrete is seeking an in-house IT professional. This is a new position that will assist the company with bringing more IT services in-house, working in conjunction with external IT resources. The position will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's information technology systems and infrastructure. The role will involve ensuring the smooth operation of hardware, software, and network systems, security, as well as providing technical support to employees and addressing any IT-related issues that may arise. The position will work closely with the senior management team to implement and improve technological solutions that support the company's goals and objectives.

Responsibilities will grow over time and there is potential to be involved in all aspects of technology in the business, being an advisor to the senior management team on all types of technology-related issues. This position will be highly valued within the organization and will be considered a key member of the organization. Aside from the mundane, there will be lots of opportunities to do interesting projects.

System Administration:

· Maintain servers (Windows), operating systems, and software applications.

· Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary upgrades and patches.

· Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings.

· Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity and disaster recovery procedures.

Network Infrastructure:

· Oversee the setup, configuration, and maintenance of the company's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.

· Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and optimize network resources.

· Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.

· Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.

“Help Desk” Support:

· Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to employees regarding hardware, software, and network-related issues.

· Respond to help desk tickets, prioritize tasks, and resolve problems in a timely manner.

· Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware and software as needed.

· Provide knowledge to create and maintain documentation for IT procedures and user guides.

IT Infrastructure Planning and Implementation:

· Collaborate with management and other departments to assess technology needs and develop IT strategies aligned with the company's goals.

· Research and evaluate new technologies, software, and hardware solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.

· Plan and execute technology projects, including system upgrades, network expansions, and software implementations.

· Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for procurement and maintenance of IT

· equipment and services.

IT Security:

· Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures to protect company data and systems from unauthorized access or breaches.

· Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk assessments.

· Stay updated on the latest IT security trends, threats, and best practices, and recommend and implement necessary security measures.

· Liaison with external security support.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree or college equivalent in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

· Proven experience as an IT professional, preferably in an in-house IT role.

· Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, system administration, and IT security principles.

· Proficiency in operating systems (Windows), network protocols, and server administration.

· Familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud computing.

· Experience with troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide effective technical support and collaborate with stakeholders.

· Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Salary: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
