Job Description

As an IT Support Technician, you will be crucial in providing both technical support and cybersecurity expertise to enhance our internal network and systems security. You will work closely with various departments to troubleshoot, maintain, and secure our IT infrastructure, ensuring a safe and productive environment for all employees.

Responsibilities:

Provide IT support to internal departments, addressing both hardware and software issues while ensuring minimal downtime.
Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to protect systems, networks, and data.
Assist in the configuration and maintenance of network hardware and software, focusing on security parameters.
Collaborate with IT team members to perform regular security audits and risk assessments.
Develop and maintain documentation related to IT support processes, cybersecurity protocols, and user guides.
Educate and train staff on cybersecurity best practices and new security technologies.
Stay abreast of the latest in security systems and threats to continuously refine and enhance security measures.
Regularly compile and present reports that provide insightful data to key stakeholders, supporting strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
Provide both in-person and virtual IT support across multiple sites, ensuring efficient resolution of issues and consistent support regardless of location.
Occasional travel may be required to provide support at different sites. Transportation arrangements facilitated when possible.
Occasionally perform after-hours work to support system outages or the implementation of new systems, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
Assists Development Team with new projects that support growth across CareKW locations.

Technical Skills:

Proficient with Windows operating systems, Office 365, and Azure.
Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools and endpoint security.
Skilled in configuring network hardware and diagnosing network performance issues.
Knowledge of infrastructure hardening techniques and implementation of cybersecurity measures.

Required skills:

1-3 years of demonstrated IT and cybersecurity experience.
Experience in a helpdesk type role considered a strong asset.
Experience in Network administration a strong asset.
Must have a valid driver's license, in times when travel is required, transportation options may be provided.
