BAE Systems is looking for a Junior Cyber Architect. The qualified candidate will be working on engineering teams supporting cybersecurity engineering activities in a rapid development environment to support the specification, development, and application of computer security technologies, cybersecurity and information assurance management techniques to DoD systems.

As a Junior Cyber Architect, You Will Be

Supporting Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities for DoD Systems in accordance with Risk Management Framework guidelines,
Supporting the development of system security plans including, security concepts of operation, risk management matrix, security control traceability matrix, security test procedures, and plan of action and milestones,
Supporting traditional systems engineering tasks such as CONOPS, requirements development and allocation, cyber design engineering, cyber implementation engineering, verification and Validation, and continuous monitoring efforts during deployment, Operations and Sustainment,
Conducting vulnerability and static code scans to detect software vulnerabilities
Conducting vulnerability assessments to validate system compliance with DISA Security Technical Information Guidelines (STIGs).

This position may require business travel to customer locations in support of product demonstrations, software installation, and system testing.

Pay Information

Salary Range: $89,650 - $152,460

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Bachelor of Science degree in a Cyber, Systems, Software, Electrical, Mechanical or similarly related engineering/technical discipline, and 5+ year(s) related experience or equivalent experience, training and/or certifications.
Understanding of national cybersecurity policies, Information Assurance (IA) security principles, standards and industry best practices
Experience in vulnerability assessment, control allocation, and risk mitigation
Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic/collaborative environment
Motivated self-starter with good problem-solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability
CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

ISC2 CISSP or equivalent certification
Top Secret/SCI
Experience with traditional A&A tools: ACAS Nessus, STIG Viewer
Experience in DoD A&A processes, procedures, and artifacts
Conducting system patching and hardening activities
Supporting security test events to achieve accreditation milestones
Technical documentation development
Experience with offensive architecting, threat modeling and attack vector analysis
Experience with DISA STIGs and/or IAVA compliance hardening
Strong oral and written communications skills
Experience with static and dynamic code analyzers
Understanding of offensive security principles
Leadership and mentoring skills
Planning and organization skills
