Job Title: Security Analyst

Location: Fort Mill, SC (Hybrid)

Reporting To: Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) or Information Security Manager

Primary Duties/Overview:

Security Monitoring:

Proactively surveil our security landscape, promptly identifying and addressing potential threats. - Conduct thorough investigations into security alerts, swiftly implementing necessary corrective actions.

Vulnerability Assessment:

Collaborate with IT teams to conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests. - Identify system weaknesses and coordinate efforts to bolster security.

Security Policy Management:

Play a pivotal role in crafting and enforcing robust security policies, standards, and procedures. - Ensure strict compliance with industry regulations and standards, including PCI DSS and GDPR.

Incident Response Planning:

Develop and maintain an efficient incident response plan, ensuring rapid and effective responses to security incidents. - Collaborate closely with incident response teams to mitigate the impact of security breaches.

Security Awareness Promotion:

Cultivate a culture of security awareness across the organization.
Deliver engaging security training sessions to educate employees on best practices.

Security Tool Optimization:

Oversee and optimize security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and SIEM solutions. - Stay current with emerging security trends and technologies, making recommendations for improvements as necessary.

Reporting:

Prepare and present comprehensive security reports to senior management, highlighting essential metrics, incidents, and vulnerabilities. - Maintain well-organized security documentation for auditing purposes.

Audits and Assessments Support:

Assist in internal and external security audits and assessments, collaborating with auditors to address findings and implement security enhancements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field; master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus.
Proven experience in information security, particularly within the financial sector.
In-depth knowledge of security principles, technologies, and industry best practices. - Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as FFIEC, NIST, and ISO 27001.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical conduct.
