As a key member of the security governance team, this candidate will be responsible for monitoring our customer-facing request queue daily for security related inquiries and ensuring timely and accurate response to our customers.

The goal of this role is to help establish and maintain trust with our customers by being able to communicate the status of our security controls clearly and accurately, while also safeguarding confidential Allstate Identity Protection information as appropriate per our customer sharing guidelines.

Essential Functions

Primary point of contact for all customer related security inquiries
Ensure customer requests are processed within our SLAs and any requests that are delayed or at risk are escalated appropriately to management for assistance
Manage responses to customer inquiries, including contributing to Request for Proposals (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI), due diligence assessments, and customer-driven audits
Develop customer facing security documentation in the form of due diligence assessments, supporting evidence, letters of attestation and more based on customer asks
Track and understand how changes to the environment may impact our customer responses and knowledge base
Participate in customer contract reviews to ensure that AIP’s security capabilities are accurately captured in customer contracts
Assists in the design and implementation of new tools and processes to help automate and streamline our customer-facing response processes
Partners closely with the Sales organization to support the sales engagement lifecycle and ensure security is represented as needed in customer meetings
Partner closely with internal teams and subject matter experts to maintain an accurate knowledge base of AIP’s security information to address customer inquiries regarding AIP’s security posture effectively and efficiently
Establish and maintains strong relationships with internal team members and engages directly with them to solve customer requests not addressed by our existing knowledge base
Collaborates closely with other internal security and technology team members to ensure customer expectations are communicated and to the respective parties in a timely manner
Develop a solid working knowledge of AIP’s security controls and technology environment and is able to understand the relationship of controls and how to effectively apply information in our knowledge base to non-standard customer inquiries
Responsible for collecting and reporting metrics and providing status updates to AIP leadership on a routine basis, to help monitor and communicate the health and performance of our customer-facing security assurance services
May support other security governance processes, initiatives, and team members as necessary to ensure the overall success of the security program. This may include vendor management, risk management, policy authoring and maintenance, and regulatory audits and assessments (e.g., NIST 800-53, SOC 2, PCI)

Required Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of technical training and experience
2+ years of experience in information security, governance/compliance, or related fields
Strong technical writing skills and ability to perform independent research and draft technical documents from scratch
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Effective interpersonal skills necessary to collaborate, influence and establish trust with internal partners and external customers
Knowledge and experience in one or more security functions such as policy development, education & awareness, security governance/compliance, security risk management, identity & access management, network security, threat management, vulnerability management, incident response, etc.
Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work in a dynamic and complex environment to meet deadlines and ensure services are delivered within SLAs
Demonstrated experience in contributing towards process design/improvements, implementation, and on-going execution
Ability to manage the successful delivery of multiple customer requests and other work activities in parallel

Preferred Education and Experience

CISSP, CISA and/or SANS GIAC certifications
NIST CSF and 800-53 experience
Demonstrated ability to follow written/verbal instructions, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Demonstrated ability to work independently and be a strong collaborative partner
Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to learn beyond formal training with a strong aptitude for delivering quality products under minimal supervision
Direct experience developing programs focused on customer assurance and building customer trust
Direct experience in responding to customer security inquiries

Work Environment & Physical Demands

AIP is a remote-first company, however our roles are open to in-office or flex work if you live in a city with a physical office location (when it is safe to return to the office). This role has the opportunity to operate 100% virtually from your home office. We primarily collaborate with our US colleagues through virtual meetings (Zoom), email, and Slack. In this role, you will be required to operate a laptop computer (PC or Mac available), computer software platforms, and other office productivity machinery as necessary. Due to the nature of this role, you must be able to remain stationary for extended periods, and must be able to observe and interpret written and/or verbal communication.
