Provided by Hiring Manager: The EPC space requires a strong focus on applications and products relating to plant engineering and construction. If a candidate has experience in this space and tools/products like Hexagon Smart applications, OpenText and EcoSys or equivalent then they would be a strong contender for the role (NOT REQUIRED). In absence of such hands on experience, we would still need the candidate to have deep knowledge in application development processes and have delivered enterprise scale applications/platforms. Such candidates need to have exhibited the ability to architect cross business process solutions and drive collaboration & consistent architecture across various streams that make up the EPC space.

We have an immediate opening for an EPC Solution Architect located at our global headquarters in Allentown, PA or remotely in the U.S.

What you will do:

Architect and implement cross business process solutions, with a concentration on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC)
Collaborate with strategic partners in process improvements, solutions development and enforcement of enterprise architectures
Determine technical requirements of projects to ensure that client specifications are met
Lead and coordinate the technical tasks through all phases of a project including document the technical architecture
Coach and mentor developers; facilitate the exchange of technical knowledge across the company
Supervise and approve development and quality assurance aspects of projects
Partner with business and IT teams in the design and implementation of solutions
Learn new architecture patterns, technologies and methodologies and be a change agent
Develop proofs-of-concept and satisfy complex requirements with platform capabilities and cloud solutions

Education/Experience:

A bachelor's degree in Information Technology or in a related technical field (e.g., Engineering or Science)
4+ years’ hands-on experience architecting enterprise scale solutions
Broad knowledge of IT system development, IT infrastructure and business processes
Systems’ level thinking - see big picture and interconnects
Familiarity with the agile methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Able to influence others without direct authority
Superb communication, leadership and teamwork skills are required, including the ability to work independently
Lead multiple project priorities and manage ambitious demands
Experience developing web applications with SOA, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture
Experience with Hexagon Smart applications, OpenText and EcoSys is a strong plus
Experience with developing cloud native solutions; AWS experience is a plus
Familiarity with scripting languages (JavaScript / Python / PowerShell) is a plus
Experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS and JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, Vue.js, others) is a plus
Experience with SQL or NoSQL database environments is a plus
