The ideal candidate will have a security certification, experience with Mac and Windows operating systems, and at least four years of experience with IT security.

Information Security Analyst Responsibilities:

Monitor computer networks for security issues and respond to and investigate system alerts
Respond to reported phishing attempts from team members
Manage simulated Phishing Campaigns through third-party vendor
Assess controls for information in all formats (e.g. electronic and physical)
Recommend remediation for detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard
As a member of the First Incident Responder team, investigate security breaches and other potential cyber security events and incidents and document security breaches and assess the damage caused
Stay up to date on information technology and security trends
Monitor information security effectiveness and compliance across the company.
Help to drive the organization toward higher levels of information security maturity and efficiency
Develop and monitor reliable metrics for information security activities to identify trends.
Help team members understand the value of information security management.
Identify and eliminate manual processes using automation for areas involving information security with input from other members of the Information Security /Risk team

Information Security Analyst Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
At least 4 years of experience in information security
A security certification preferred
Experience with Mac and Windows OS preferred
An understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts.
An ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities
An understanding of patch management for servers and end points with knowledge of how patches are deployed and understanding the business impact
Thorough knowledge of information security principles, practices, and procedures.
Proven ability to effectively listen and communicate with diverse audiences and an open mind for new ideas
Ability to translate technical concepts into layman terms
