As the Information Security Analyst at 7shifts you will be responsible for supporting the security architecture and contributing to the overall security of organizational assets. This role is key in management and optimization of the Security Operations Center (SOC) by managing security technologies and executing incident response activities.

What you'll do:

Monitoring and investigation of dashboards and alerts generated by security technologies such as SIEM, Vulnerability Scanners, AntiVirus, IDS, WAF, DLP etc
Ongoing configuration and optimization of security technologies based on environmental requirements and threat intel
Day to day operations of implemented security programs such as vulnerability and patch management, incident management, access management etc.
Generating operational reports and metrics to measure the effectiveness of security controls
Contributing to the implementation and compliance of security policies and standards
Assisting the team to collaborate as a technical subject matter expert on security projects, risks and issues
Primarily responsible for escalated security issues/tickets to provide guidance and requirements to address security compliance and mitigate risks
Contributing to organizational security awareness and training by being the security champion in all situations
Assist with execution of incident response activities
Assist with coordinating and conducting security threat and risk assessments
Assist with internal and external security audits and related preparation and remediation activities

What you have:

College or university degree in a relevant field of study
Minimum of 3 years of experience using and managing a variety of security technologies, such as SIEM, Vulnerability scanners, IDS, WAF, IAM etc
Minimum of Security+ certification
Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Highly detail oriented
Ability to apply critical thinking for problem solving and decision making
Innovation and the ability to think outside the box
Ability to handle pressure and evolve with a rapidly changing environment

It'd be even cooler if you had:

Experience with security forensics or threat hunting
Ethical hacking certification (e.g. CEH)
Knowledge and understanding of industry security standards and framework such as ISO27001, NIST, SOC 2
Familiarity with public cloud technologies operations such as AWS, Azure or GCP
Knowledge of restaurant operations
SaaS experience
