Raise is hiring a Cybersecurity Analyst / Governance Specialist for Our Client, one of North America's leading energy infrastructure companies with operations in natural gas, oil and power industries throughout Canada, the United States, and Mexico. The Cybersecurity Analyst / Governance Specialist will be primarily responsible for governance and compliance initiatives within the organization and will manage the portfolio of controlled documents and advise on the governance structure and activities for the Cybersecurity team. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical abilities and a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles.
Accountabilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of cybersecurity governance documentation including frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Support business partners and analysts to develop and implement process improvements and ensure the quality of all required project deliverables.
- Develop business requirements and process maps to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead management system governance activities and monitor and report on the program’s goals, objectives, and targets.
- Maintain the governance dashboard and report on governance activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., TSA, NIST).
- Coordinate with stakeholders to complete internal and external self-assessments as required.
- Support Incident Response Drills; including facilitation and developing scenarios for the drills.
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on cybersecurity-related matters.
- Participate and develop relationships with external Trade Associations
- At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on governance, risk, or compliance.
- Experience creating governance documentation and conducting compliance audits.
- Understanding of relevant regulations and standards.
- Post-secondary education with a focus in business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Well-developed organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications from cybersecurity organizations such as ISC2 and ISACA.
- International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) or a related certification.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, growth-oriented environment where change occurs continuously.
- Effective relationship building and collaboration with team members, business partners and key stakeholders.
- Problem solving skills and critical thinking mindset with proven experience in continuous improvement.
- Highly self-motivated and directed with ability to work efficiently and effectively under minimal supervision.
- Passionate about Cybersecurity and understanding of introductory Cybersecurity concepts.
