POSITION SUMMARY: The Network Architect will report to the IT Infrastructure Manager, the Senior Technical Analyst is responsible for the effective planning, maintenance and support of an assigned core technology platform (which could include one or several of: Virtual Server Infrastructure, Virtual Application Presentation, Enterprise Networking, Enterprise Storage and Backup & Recovery solutions, Cisco Call Manager, etc.).
MUST- HAVES:
- Minimum three (3) Year University Degree or Community College diploma in Information Technology or equivalent work experience and/or certifications and references.
- 3+ years experience supporting enterprise-grade branded hardware through an asset’s lifecycle.
- 3+ years experience with structured cabling in a data center and/or remote network closet locations
- 3+ years of professional experience providing service delivery for enterprise networking and network security infrastructure, particularly for LAN, wireless LAN and WAN services
- 3+ years of professional experience providing first and second level incident management for enterprise LAN, wireless LAN, WAN and network security services
- Experience using network security tools in an enterprise environment
This senior role is expected to provide leadership assistance to the management team in the following areas:
- Subject matter expertise to assist in definition of work assignments, system configuration, development of standards and issues investigation and/or escalation.
- Work stream leadership on major projects or associate Project Manager on small to medium complexity initiatives.
- Coaching and mentoring of supporting staff.
- Acting as the most responsible person for assigned functional areas, assists and support Account Managers on new requests or investigations.
